Massage informed consent

I understand massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. I have disclosed relevant health information and will tell the therapist about changes in my health. I understand massage may involve normal temporary effects such as tenderness or soreness. I may ask to change pressure, positioning, draping, or technique, or stop the session at any time.

I understand the therapist may decline, modify, or stop treatment when massage may be unsafe, outside the therapist's scope, or otherwise inappropriate.

Risk acknowledgment & policies

I understand massage involves physical touch and has inherent risks, including temporary discomfort, soreness, bruising, dizziness, or aggravation of an existing condition. I agree to communicate discomfort promptly. Nothing here waives rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived.

Important: This general consent does not authorize breast massage, massage of the gluteal cleft/perineum, or other treatment requiring additional consent under Washington rules. Those services require separate consent and applicable training/documentation.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment for a 100% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment receive a 50% refund.
